Engagement Shoot

  • Destination Eshoots

"If you have a dream destination or craving something out-of-this-world, we've got to take the 'extra' ordinary route!" Sure, the GTA offers fantastic spots for your Engagement Shoot, but nothing beats the thrill of exploring locations beyond our hometown!

This option is perfect for couples dreaming of a destination wedding but stuck in the hometown hustle. The best part? We won't hit you with any extra fees except for accommodation, meals, and travel if you're up for a Destination Eshoot!

  • Outfits

Make sure your outfit matches the theme and doesn't leave you looking like a popsicle in winter! Don't sacrifice warmth for the Gram; cozy up with mufflers and blazers or channel your inner coffee shop aficionado. Remember, comfort is key, along with the ability to strut your stuff!

For those glamorous shots, renting a long-trail dress is the way to go. We've got local vendors itching to dress you up like royalty. Just give us a shout, and we'll hook you up – literally!

And if renting isn't your thing, aim for a dress that gives you that whimsical, flowy look. But hey, if you're going the Made to Order route, demand hooks and a little extra fabric for emergencies – like that impromptu dance-off at the reception!

  • Locations

Select locations that hold a special place in your hearts! Whether it's the café where you had your first awkward date, a park where you hilariously lost a kite in a tree, or a theme that screams "us," go for it. Sure, Scarborough Bluffs and parks are classic choices, but ask yourselves, "Does it spark joy... or just frostbite?" From farms to arcade game rooms to the glamorous aisles of Walmart, if it tickles your fancy, we'll turn it into a masterpiece!

Home Pre Events

  • Mehandi

  • Haldi

Why Skip a Photographer on Your Mehandi Day:

  • Trying to pose with wet Mehendi? Good luck keeping those fingers apart!

  • With wet or half-dried henna, close-ups reveal a "half-baked" masterpiece. Walking on grass turns into a wobbly adventure, and bending elbows? Forget about it! It's a comedy of henna errors!

  • Henna artists are like magicians – disturb them, and poof! Your perfect design disappears faster than you can say "cheese"!

When to take Mehandi Shots?

  • When your mehandi is dry and stained, we can finally unleash the posing extravaganza! No more sticky situations—just smooth moves and fabulous photos with your squad.

  • And hey, if you're hosting a home event alongside your mehandi, it's only fair to capture the whole shebang. We'll cover it all, from mehandi madness to sangeet shenanigans!

Best Spots to get Mehandi Shots?

  • So, if you're sticking with a photographer for your mehandi day, ensure your henna game is strong before the sun sets – no one wants a photoshoot in the dark, unless you're into mysterious shadows!

  • Park yourself by a big window in a tidy room – let's keep those background distractions to a minimum, shall we?

  • Timing is everything! Your photographer will swoop in just 20 minutes before your henna's masterpiece status. Coordinate with your henna artist to avoid any after-dark drama.

  • And hey, if you missed the pre-stained photoshoot boat, no worries! We'll take the party outdoors for some hilarious shots with your pals. Who says henna fun ends indoors?

Entrances

  • Ask your Family Member to have everyone is sit down when you’re entering the Gurudwara Hall. Children with their parents, everyone else sitting down. DO NOT WALK IN IF YOU SEE PEOPLE STILL WALKING AROUND.

  • Have your Parents/ Siblings walk by you while entering the Gurudwara Hall

  • We do our very best to have no one sit behind you two before the laawan, to get clean nice shots, we need just you two and clean background

First Look

  • Whenever you can... look at each other, let your smiles show up, dont be shy!

  • Remember, to capture those stunning candid shots for you, it's crucial that you create the moments. We'll always have an eye on you guys and we'll be there to turn those moments into cherished memories for you..

Laawan

  • If family members wish to assist the bride and groom during the Laawan by sitting behind them, kindly request them to choose either the left or right side instead. We aim to highlight the couple during the ceremony, and having relatives seated directly behind them in every photo could divert attention away from the couple. By minimizing distractions, we can ensure the focus remains on the couple throughout the ceremony.

  • Groom can keep his Kirpaan held with him during the Laawan.

  • Bride's Brothers don't have to participate in the Laawan ceremony. Traditionally, brothers would stand around the Palki Sahib to assist the bride as she walked around the Sikh holy book. This practice originated from the need to support brides whose faces were covered by their dupattas during the ceremony, ensuring they didn't trip. Although modern brides no longer cover their faces, many still uphold this tradition as a symbol of the bond between siblings. However, it's important to note that some priests or granthi ji may forbid brothers from participating, leading to awkward situations. To avoid such issues, it's advisable to discuss this matter with the management team of the gurdwara when booking the venue.

Post Ceremony

  • We recommend capturing a big immediate family photo right after the Shagun Line. This includes the Immediate families of both the bride and groom. Please ensure that a family member stays to gather everyone before anyone leaves the hall.

  • For a smoother flow, we suggest the groom's family arrives at the bride's parents' house promptly after the ceremony. This way, the tea and snacks can be enjoyed while the couple is busy with their post-ceremony photo shoot.

Post Ceremony

  • It's time for formal pictures! To make the most of your time, create a list of family photos you need and stick to it. Start with immediate family pictures, then add in first cousins, uncles, and aunts according to the list. Following this plan will save you valuable time. Remember: Make a list, and stick to it!

Timeline

  • We need approx. 60 Minutes for the Couple Portraits from the time we start.

  • If you have a Bridal Party the time can vary from 90 Minutes to 120 Minutes Including the Couple Portraits.

  • Once the ceremony and group photos are wrapped up, consider making a timely departure rather than lingering too long. The attire worn on your special day may not be your typical garb, and it's natural to feel fatigued due to the weight of the outfits. Our aim is to capture you at your absolute best, and to maximize the available time for your photoshoot. So, feel free to enjoy the celebration, but also remember to prioritize your comfort and photo opportunities.

Reception

Finally, it's time to celebrate! While there aren't many tips from our end for this special day, there are a couple of important things to keep in mind before the reception kicks off.

  • Please plan to arrive at least one hour before the designated guest arrival time to ensure we can capture your couple portraits before the festivities begin.

  • Similarly, kindly request your immediate family to arrive at the hall at least 15 minutes before guests start arriving, allowing us to promptly capture the family photos as well.

  • You might want to think about joining the cocktail hour to mingle with your guests. One major advantage of doing this is that you can meet and greet everyone beforehand. That way, once the dance floor opens up, you can fully enjoy yourselves without feeling rushed to meet everyone.

  • Finally, Shake those tail feathers! It's time to hit the dance floor and let loose!
